Purchased the python cleaner, then got home and realized I am unable to attach python to my faucet (due to the type of faucet i cant physically attach it)- unles someone knows how to hook this up?
Looking for something to clean my tank/sand bed.

Anyone know how I can still use the python another way, ie some type of pump setup?
If not, ill return python - what can I use as an alternative?

Thank you

Fill the large section up with water, raise it up, water will trickle down the tube. Continue until tube is full. Fill up large part and siphon is done. As long as end is lower than the part suctioning the water out, it will work.

I understand the whole “Python” thing. I used one on my 200 hundred gallon freshwater tank back in the day. Made things much easier.

Most of us use a gravel vacuum and a bucket.

clarification

'large part' = gravel tube

'large section' = ?

thx

If you can get the faucet section outside, you can hook it up to a water hose to start the siphon. That's what my brother does.

I have a funky faucet for my utility sink. I got their siphon bulb to start the siphon and that works ok. Not as good as the suction I get hooked up to a faucet like when I do my daughter FW tank but not bad. Obviously need a bucket or low sink to do so. My utility sink is much lower than my tank.

unfortunately, all my house sinks are the same. Outside spigot could work, but its very far away, >75-100ft

Are you able to take off the aerator off your faucet to see what the thread size is?
Home Depot or Lowes have adaptors for some threads that will adapt to Python Brass Adaptors.

cant take the aerator off - all the faucets are 'all in one'
Others can correct me if I am wrong but all aerators are meant to be taken off and cleaned. I see yours have ridges on the edge and might require a different type of tool.
Python also has a Universal Adaptor (69A) that will get clamped over any tubular faucet or tube.

Yeah, there should have been a little plastic tool that came with the faucet that will unscrew those. It may have a non standard thread like mine does but the aerator should come off.
