Hi all - got myself a Tunze 3155 and have a few questions

1) how can I ensure the pump sits flat on bottom of reservoir? The hose sort of bends it sideways if that makes sense

2) I have a 32gal tank. What should I adjust the timer to ensure the pump doesn’t run for very long for additional flood protection?

thanks!

What type of reservoir are you using?

I use a 5g jug with screw on lid. I've run the lines through a hole in the lid and electrical taped a stop so the pump just barely touches the bottom.

I think I remember seeing someone made a cool 3d printed base for the 3155 to solve that problem and were selling them on R2R.

just using a bucket right now - all my 5G jugs were too narrow to fit the pump in unfortunately

Harry's Aquatics @TheHarold I think is the name. He also has the stl available to download for free to print yourself.

I think if you open the case for the controller, there is a screw that adjusts the pump output.

I use a 7G CarBoy for my ATO. $30 bucks Amazon

Gonna add my .02 on your need/want to have the pump sitting flush to the bottom... this should be for aesthetics only. It would be very poor practice to hope the bucket can get sucked dry before you refill, and the effort.cost to have it sitting flush to the bottom wouldn't even fall in line as a "precautionary measure" in the case you forget to top off the bucket.

You Wont need to adjust anything timing wise on the inside - I adjusted the placement of the pin connector to change the alarm settings, and havent messed with it since.
