QQ: sand in QT?

Quick question: I’ve had to move my fish to QT due to ich (among other things I believe) to run DT fallow for 76/90 days. I have a diamond goby and he is really sad without any sand in QT. I’m currently running therapeutic copper safe. Can I add sand for my poor goby?

I've never liked the bare bottom QT look, and have noticed how some fish seem uncomfortable in that environment. Especially sand burrowing wrasses, gobies and other fish who utilize sand as part of their daily routine. I've also seen tangs, angels, etc. fight their reflection on the bottom...
