What is everyone using in there QT to control Ammonia? I have a 20g tank setup with heater, power head, and a hang on back power filter. I forget the brand, but it uses the cartridges with carbon in them. I have a very small Flame angel and a small Lawnmoyer blenny going through QT right now. They have been in there a little over a week and I'm getting a small ammonia reading. When I set the tank up I used an ounce of go juice an I am currently seeding some filter floss in my DT to replace the carbon cartridge. This is my first time QT'ing fish. Am I going about it correctly?

You shouldn't use carbon when medicating, the carbon removes the medications.
If using a filter, it should have a pad in it with enough bacteria that your tank doesn't cycle again with a fish in it.
With that said, your going to need Ammo Lock now to get it out, and or do a bunch of small water changes to keep it very low.
Or Amquel Plus

I'm not medicating yet so I left the carbon in the filter. I did dose some Amquel and I'm going to do a water change tomorrow. So just good seeded media for the power filter?

I use rock. Same as what we use in our reef tanks. QT should be cycled just like any other tank. Hyposalinity and rock with a heater and pit of circulation is all that is needed. No medication required.

Yup, that'll do ya, as long as your not going with Hypo. Going Hypo will kill off the normal marine bacteria and grow its own.
