I want to transfer my 40b QT to a 20Long

For a 30day copper treatment , will this be suitable for 2 clowns and 1 yellow tang


they’re going into a 200xl redsea after that

Yes, it will be fine. I use a 20L for my QT tank.
I currently have 4 fish in mine. a flasher wrasse, (2) anthias, and a damsel.

have put many fish through 30 days of copper in it.

Just get yourself a Seachem ammonia badge which can monitor ammonia, even when using copper based meds. As long as you keep uneaten food and waste cleaned up, along with small water changes, you will be fine.

Should I restart my QT water and start fresh or keep the older water that’s from my old Display ? It had ich

If you are adding copper based meds, then it won't matter. The copper will kill any ich in that water.
