Been about 3 weeks now.

Ammonia keeps falling from 2.0 to 0.2 or so.
Nitrites are still off the charts high. Been about a week for that.

Redosed ammonia back to 2.0ppm.

The fact that my ammonia is going down leads me to think something is happening. Is it like Freshwater where nitrites will seemingly go from through the roof to 0 overnight?

The nitrite will get converted to nitrate. The nitrate will need to be addressed. This could be with small water changes.

Don't know what nitrates are. Haven't tested for them. Won't until ammonia and nitrite are 0
