Hey everyone,

I have been regretting posting this because I think I made some wrong judgment calls and it lead to 2 deaths.
On August 13th I bought a Royal Gama, a Starry Blenny, and an Sunburst Anthia.
They all seemed healthy in the store but it was packed in there and the manager did not have time to feed them for me.
I filled a 10 gallon QT tank with water from my display and the three new fish seemed timid but totally fine.

Everyone was eating garlic soak pe mysis then on the 25th I come home from work and notice a red spot on the Anthia.

By the next afternoon (26th) the spot was much less red and only seemed a little swollen with possibly one scale coming off.

The Very next morning I couldn't find the Royal Gama and he jumped ship. ;Sorry I had a cover on the tank but he jumped through the tiny gap near the filter and the cover.

On the 28th I wake up and the Anthia was dead on the bottom after eating the night before. I am super sad about the whole thing and feel it is my fault. I should have made a better top and treated the anthia right away with some anti-biotic i am guessing.

How should I proceed with the Starry blenny. He is the only one left. I really want to keep my clowns in my DT happy because they are my babies lol.
I have been preforming 5 gallon water changes every 3 days and toping it off everyday when I feed.

Thanks!

Does the blenny currently show, or has he ever shown, signs of the infection (red spot)? Their immune systems are pretty good at fighting off bacterial diseases.

Agreed. ^^ Also are you treating for ich during this QT or just observing?

I am just observing. He has never shown any red spots has been eating a little consistently but not as much as I would like him too but he has a little pot belly so I'm not conserned.
Thanks for the reply guys!

I would probably just observe then. You might go ahead & dose Metroplex for a week in case the anthias had uronema. You can combine with Kanaplex (a proper antibiotic) if you want, just to be on the safe side.

I was thinking uronema as well... I would definitely treat with metroplex just in case. The blenny would likely be fine, but any anthias or damsels or chromis added in the future would likely have trouble if uronema makes it into your DT...
