I had a couple fish in my list that are from Hawaii so I purchased whatever I could before I couldn't get them anymore.
Can I QT all these fish together in one 40g breeder tank. I'll have lots of PVC for them to hide in.
I'll be following humblefish post on QT above

Flame wrasse pair
Achillies tang
Bandit angel
Thanks

The main issue I see here are the wrasses. Wrasses do not form pairs and are unlikely to tolerate each other for long, especially if they have both turned or are turning male. The tang and angel should be fine as long as the tang is on the smaller side, for bioload reasons. Keep in mind though that Achilles, although not the most aggressive, don't always take kindly to other tangs added after them if you have more on your stock list.

Yes, a 40 gal QT should provide enough room for that stock list.

What bio-filter are you using?

If possible I'd QT the Achilles alone and put a large powerhead in the tank. I QT'd my achilles in a 40 with a 3500GPH powerhead and he loved it. The achilles will also benefit from a lot of fresh nori available, if possible try some life feeding seaweed (I used red gracilaria).

I don't have any experience with the rest of the fish, however if they're all on the smaller side you're probably okay.

GHSaltie I'm not too worried about the wrasses together as they have been together at the shop. The achillies was going to be my last fish added to the tank. Unfortunately this does put s wrench in things slightly.

Humblefish aquasclear hob filter. I plan to see the sponge with fritz turbo start or Dr tims. Also using my current tanks water. How often should the sponge in the filter be changed?

Kworker I would love to setup a separate 40 but wife would kill me. I'll def feed plenty of seaweed.

But long term they'll both turn male and kill each other.

Your QT should be sufficient. Just be diligent about water changes to keep ammonia low. None of those fish handle even low ammonia levels well. :)

I sterilize (with bleach) whatever sponge(s) I am using in-between batches of fish. I always have "new sponges" stewing down in my DT's sump for at least 1 month prior to use.

How often do you swap them out the sponges?

I use a new sponge (pre-seeded) with every new batch of fish. I also completely sterilize my QTs in-between fish shipments, because I'm paranoid about biofilm degrading medications.
