QT for 6 line Wrasse questions.

I'm curious as to good practice for QT for a 6 line wrasse? I just ordered one from LA( email notifications work awesome) and it should be here early next week. I have a 10g QT up and running and cycled for over 2 months now so I have a spot for it to immediately go. My main concern is whether to treat it with copper or not? I have read information that certain wrasses don't handle copper well but am unclear if that applies to 6 lines. also what meds should I treat with . Thanks for any input.

Here’s a “difficult to QT guide” by Humblefish. It mentions some wrasses & ways to treat them “gently”. I don’t think the 6 line is considered one of the delicate species, have a look at this link if you haven’t already. Hope this helps.

@Rattzreef How did the QT of your 6 line go? I'm planning on one myself, and would be interested in hearing your experience, what medications and procedure used, and how the 6 line is currently doing? Thanks.

He is doing very well actually.. a fat lil bugger.. He is currently in my Coral QT tank for pest control. At first he did not want to eat a lot of the foods I put in the tank. I purchased a brine shrimp hatchery from BRS along with eggs from Algaebarn and he definitely went after them. I eventually got him eating flake food after about a week and started dosing his food with General Cure and Focus. Did 2 weeks of that. I started upping the copper in the tank after the first week. I had it at 1.0ppm when I first added him then went to 2.6 and stayed there for a full month. He has been doing great so far. Very active and a 20g tank all to himself.
