QT for velvet

Hi I got ich so I took fish out for 70 days QT them. Everything was good set up 1 fish QT 1 invert/ coral QT some months later still got ich. It’s small outbreak and I can live with that. I do have oversized UV. My question is about velvet. If I buy fish from store and it has velvet will there be signs of it? Or can fish be a carrier without symptoms? How long should I keep them in QT?

Definitely can be a carrier. No one would ever put a visibly sick fish in their DT. Velvet is no joke.
