QT Frags?

Hi Everyone,

If I setup a QT tank for frags what do you do and what are you looking out for? I am going to set one up as all the fish lately seem to have something but I want to understand what to look for in my frags?

Looking for any pests to show up, but also to see damage to the coral over time as an indication a pest is present. Depending on the coral some things are more common.

With montipora for example. Montipora nudibranches are the moat common. For zoas some of the common pests are zoa nudibranches and zoa spiders. For acros acropora eating flatworms, red bugs, and black bugs are some of the more common pests. Polyclad flatworms are one of the more common pests that impact LPS.

There are many more pests but that is some of the most common you can google and get an idea of what they look like. Inspect the coral for eggs as well while in QT. Usually eggs laid on the coral or one the skeleton just below live part is done by a predator.
