HI ALL hope all is well

I've managed to get a bulk deal on fish to which I've got in 2 x 300ltr racks internal filters and air stones going

I belive I have a touch of white spot but not 100% fish have only been in a 24hr so still settling.. All feeding and doing well but sure there is a odd spot on a purple tang

So I have

Powder blue tang
Purple tang
Mimic tang
Huge naso tang
Juv emperor angel only about 1inch
Juv blue face angel the same about 1inch
Reasea wrasse
Tiny yellow box fish!

Now if this does turn to white spot my normal root would be cuprimine taken to 0.5ppm checking with the hanna copper checkers

I have also just bought some frirz copper safe.. As a few people said this wasn't as harsh?

Would either of these be OK to treat with I'm just unsure about the tiny box fish and the the angels been so small would they be OK with either of the copper??

Any advice would be much appricate.. But the plan today is just to monitor as the powder blue is fine and I'd assume since these are white spot magnets this would show signs in the next 24hr??

Ian

As a precautionary measure, I would utilize the copper safe or copper power to safe level and monitor both copper level and ammonia level.
Adding oxygen with an air stone will also help maintain oxygen during copper treatment

Hi what level should I be looking to achieve please +?

Thanks I took it to 2.5ppm all worked out well and fish are in the system :)

There is another fish just gone in the qt rack.. Checked today was 1.75 on the hanna but also took this to 2.5.. If I'd of looked in here 1st I would of left it

Well that's comforting for me to know because I'm struggling to get my level above 1.75...now I'm afraid of overdosing.
How long after adding the copper did you check your level? I was thinking I wasn't waiting long enough...

Over night.. What. Test kit did you use

I just kept adding till I hit 2.5ppm

Not sure what wrasse you have from Red Sea but some reef safe wrasse don’t do well in copper but when needed copper power is the best choice and bring it up slow
