Recently got an order of a mix of snails from reefcleaners/john. I've done some research and it seems like the general consensus is to QT inverts. My question is:

1. How long to QT them for?
2. What am i supposed to be looking for from the inverts?
3. How do i treat inverts if something is up?

Somewhat unrelated question BUT after I introduced 3 astrea snails and 4 small hermits into my FOWLR tank (without QT), I noticed medusa hyroids on the glass. I take them out as I see them (probably 5 a day). I was wondering if the astreas or hermits could have brought the hydroids into my system. I'm kinda worried they might have brought something more sinister, but I haven't seen anything else yet.

Normally snails are QT'd for 76 days to prevent them from bringing in fish related diseases.
Unfortunately, they can also bring in other pests. I'm not sure how to avoid those other than to QT them long enough for any pests/algae to show themselves and deal with it then.

Word, i'll let them chill for a couple weeks

Does anyone know a good QT for inverts thread where it discusses what meds can or cannot be used with various critters?

I have a newer tank, that has two direct-from-ORA clowns. I'm starting to get the "ugly" cycle green algae, and while I want to get an emerald crab to help with the clean-up, I also don't want to introduce pests into a relatively pristine system. I'd rather use NoPox or something... But I'm still curious as to how to treat various inverts while in QT.

You don't need to treat the inverts. The point is to make sure they are not carrying the cysts of ich or velvet. Those parasites don't affect the inverts, but they can possibly carry them in.
