So I am setting up coral qt and am wondering if I have enough light. I am trying to match my DT (or at least close to it). On my display i have T5/LED hybrid - Ecotech G4Pro sandwiched between 4 T5s - 2 B+ and 2 C+

Trying to use what I have for the QT so am thinking 2 T5s on a 10 gallon tank with frags? Enough light for the frags?

Thanks

Should be fine. You’d need a meter to know for sure.
Might not be quite enough for almost acros and high light animals .

IMO, 2 bulbs does not seem like enough light for acros, even on a 10g. I would plan to run one of them 6500k bulb. 4 bulbs would probably be more ideal for what you're trying to do.

Yeah I was thinking bordering for some high lighters. It will have some LPS as well. I could do 4 T5s if necessary.

Or use a high frag rack. Keep it near the top.

That would work and I could gauge from there if I need to change it up. Thinking mid tank height in a U shape and then leave light access to the bottom for LPS. Thanks

On a 10g I think would prefer a small ebay led fixture for size/access to the tank. would probably be cheaper and give you more punch in the center

In which fixture? If in ATI or with a good ballast and reflector, then you can probably get 80 PAR from each bulb down to the bottom and 150 halfway up, so 160 and 300 total. That is not a lot of area or depth to light. A 4 bulb Chinese T5 on that same tank would be about 280 and 450, so cut that in half. I have tested both of these with my own Apogee 510.

If you have a rack on the bottom, 1/3 and 2/3 up, this should be just fine.

Thanks. It’s just a DIY kit I have had from BRS.
