Okay so I might have gotten myself into a situation.

1. I removed my Kole Tang and clowns from my DT into QT and treated with copper for Ich.

2. My DT has 2 weeks left of being fallow! The full 82 days!

3. I added a small foxface and regal tang from LFS 4 weeks ago into QT. I’ve seen no signs of white spots since.

The question is, do I do a precautionary treatment of copper? Or do I presume the regal wasn’t carrying Ich?

Help. If I need to treat for Ich, I want to get it started as I really want some fish in my DT!!

Thanks in advance

Odds are if one of the two fish had ich, the Regal would be showing symptoms by now.

However, I would still prophylactically deworm both fish using Prazipro: https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/prazipro.247598/
I agree but I’ve seen regal tangs suppress ich if they were kept in ich management tanks at an LFS for awhile. They struggle at first but many can fight off horrible infections. I of course don’t recommend anyone do this but I’ve seen it time and time again. I’ve also lost some over the years trying ich management, however.
