Had an outbreak of velvet. Devastated my fish. Was able to save 4 that are in qt being treated with copper. How long do you leave the filter media out of the qt tank?

Not sure I understand, do you mean calcareous filter media? Is so, then wait until the copper is removed. I typically run copper for at least 14 days beyond the day that the symptoms went away.

Well instructions say "remove all biological filters" so I pulled the carbon and phosphate reducers. Just wondering how long to leave them out.
