QT question between fish

Im just about ready to take my fish out of QT. Some have been in there since August. I plan on adding more fish to my QT. The question is, what do I before adding new fish? Clean the whole thing? Just change the water..nothing? I just dont want the tank to go through another cycle.

Honestly, I would run carbon for a bit to strip the meds out and do a 100% water change. Shouldn't re cycle at all. Then the new fish have a pretty fresh start.

This is just what I do:

If the last batch of fish I QT'd went smoothly, no major disease issues, etc. I re-use the QT as is.

But if some weird "Typhoid Mary" like disease wiped all my fish out in QT (or even the majority of them), I break the whole thing down and start over from scratch.

OK, so no signs of disease for the last two months.
