No problem, prime comes in handy so much unless your using copper.
Hey sorry this is off topic. How can i look to see if someone is selling me radion gen 4s like where i can go to type in serial number amd verify
I cut the lights and will only turn out for feedings. Ill increas water changes as well bc im going to assume as algea dies, nutrients will increase as well
Thanks y'allLooks like you have it all under control now! You should be back to a cleaner QT in no time!
I just treat with coppersafe. Theres a million different opinions on dose or not dose amd figured it wont hurt to dose copper as its fairly safe. I do not have the space nor budget to do tank transfers. Plus im like an infant in the hobby as i juat started roughly 7 months ago.Out of curiosity, what are you treating with copper? Ich?
I find that it's easier to just use the "tank transfer method" of QT for ich if that's what you're treating - just switch out QT tanks every third day for at least 4 transfers and you'll be ich free.
Have read to many horror stories and its way to expensive to have a tank cruah bc i was to lazy to QT. I have paziopro just havent used it. I kno my LFS dips everything when they get the fish and has copper in their tanks (probably sub-theraputic) to use pazipro, i have to drain entire tank right ans start new. Like cannot add with copper.Makes sense. You might also want to treat with Prazipro as a proactive treatment after the copper, only since many (most? all?) fish come in with some sort of parasite and pazipro is pretty easy on them.
Good job on using a QT tank so early on!
I dont have a sponge filter per say but a power head that has a huge sponge on it as well as hob filter. Depending who you ask i just dose copper to dose copper. Theres nothing visably wrong with him. I kno my lfs doses copper in their tanks and im going to assume its sub thetaputic levels. Hes going to be in there for 4weeks. My thought is why have him in there for a week or more then he develops symptoms and then hes there even longer putting un-needed stress on him. I mean i have "caves" and what not in my QT but its not the 120lbs of rock in my DT.in my QT i run LED lights just 4 or 5 hours per day. I have the HOB filter but also have a sponge filter inside as i need to have the bio system running and something to latch those things onto in a glass bottom tank.
May i ask why you dose copper is there a issue with the tang? really no need to dose, IMO, unless some issue you see???
Its a sponge filter i guess...its called a penguin power sponge filter idk what i was thinking lol i was thinking an actual sponge filter on bottom of tank ha sleep deprived a bit herewe will see what others say but i think a foam filter is important for the bio activity where else can it cling to? They are cheap... lets see what the group says..
Like this but gotta get the size for your tank:https://media.cdn.bulkreefsupply.co...06a14d42ed729621943ac7b617b96/f/h/fha-148.jpgIts a sponge filter i guess...its called a penguin power sponge filter idk what i was thinking lol i was thinking an actual sponge filter on bottom of tank ha sleep deprived a bit here![]()

Hows that spinge filter differemt then my powerhead sponge filter? Arent the basically same thing? Mines just powered with a propeller versus air. Mine even draws in air and i can control how much air is drawn in with a control knob.Like this but gotta get the size for your tank:https://media.cdn.bulkreefsupply.co...06a14d42ed729621943ac7b617b96/f/h/fha-148.jpg
