If a fish dies in QT where other fish are present, do you restart the QT time period? My situation-29 gal. QT tank running .50 copper prophylacticly, 0 Ammonia (badge monitor), 5 NO3, 8.3 PH, Salinity 1.023, temp 77.5 F, with Exquisite Fairy Wrasse, yellow watchman goby, and blue sided fairy wrasse. Blue side was getting picked on by Exquisite wrasse. I put blue side in an acclimation box and it's health declined. I found it dead this morning (13 days in) with no signs of disease. I believe it died from stress, possibly copper sensitivity, and maybe it wasnt all that healthy to start with. Both other fish seem fine. Did a 5 gallon WC today after I pulled the dead fish out. My question is do I need to start my QT period over again? Or do I just keep an eye out for anything suspicious and move the survivors to DT on schedule?

As long as you maintain 0.5, you’re good to continue. Good luck!
+1 agree 100%.

If the fish was being bullied that was likely the cause of death.
