QT question

Hey everyone I'm about to start cycling my tank it has been a journey. But with the help of everyone here I've learned alot with alot more to go I'm super excited to have my first saltwater tank I had chiclid for years I've wanted to do this since I was a child. My question is when quarantining fish is it okay to do a school of fish or better to do one at a time?

Depends on the size of the fish and the tank. I've never QT'd just one fish though. I tried to never put more than 3 small fish into my 10gal QT tanks or 6 small fish in my 20gal GT tank. That's just my personal guideline though and I've never QT'd a fish larger than a Kole tang. It makes sense to do as much bioload as the tank can support though to lower the cost of the per fish QT.

Qting multiple fish of the same species is fine just make sure the tank is large enough for however many you put in.
