I'm not sure if this is the right place for this, but I am trying to get a road map in place for starting my tank. Based on the discussion and research so far this is what I have come up with:
Fish:
TTM + 2 week observation period in QT
Corals:
Coral dip, followed by 72 day fishless period in frag tank.
Inverts:
72 day fishless period in separate QT
This is a LOT of process to follow, and seems somewhat crazy. Is this normal? I'm willing to do it if it is the best way, but wow it is more than I was expecting!
- Start cycle for both DT and QT
- When cycle is finished, put CUC in DT, maybe a few coral as well
- Keep DT fishless for 72 days
- In parallel during last 3-4 weeks of fishless period in DT, start TTM followed by 2 week observa
- Put Ich free, healthy fish in DT
