Im looking at getting a PBT and have a 10g QT tank. That just seems too small for it to be in for 2 months. I know it’s temporary before it would go into my 120g DT and I wouldn’t be purchasing a large one.

What are people’s thoughts for that size?

Your main DT is too small either way....they need a 250 or larger

To help answer your question, yes you’d have to get a really tiny one to be quarantined in a 10 gallon tank. However, I think I quarantined mine in a 10 gallon as he was really tiny when I bought him from LFS. Probably about 2” long. He was smaller than my YT damsels.
