My 40 gallon qt tank is at around 1.0 ammonia it has been up and run for about 8 months with no problems.. the only thing i can think that did it was mardel maracyn-oxy i was treating a yellow eye kole for a skin condition. i had to put all the fish in my dt tank so that the ammonia didn't kill them...
