QT tank fish breathing fast

I have a 20 gallon QT with a small yellow tang, small bristle tooth, and two ~1 inch ocellaris clowns. The water became cloudier over the last 2-3 days (suspecting bacterial bloom). The fish are active, eating as normal but they seem to be breathing faster than normal. I did a 75% water change yesterday, dropped in a power head to stir up the surface, and I'm currently making salt water for another water change. I have a small air pump/stone that sitting in the mixing saltwater.

Anything else to consider or do? Shoulder I purchase another air stone and pump for the QT tank?

If you have an HOB filter, consider adding a mesh bag filled with ceramic media that has been soaked in something like BioSpira, Fritz Turbo, etc.

Could also consider a bubble foam filter that has also had the foam soaked in something like BioSpira, Fritz Turbo, etc.

A small in-tank uv filter would also help with a bacterial bloom:

I usually run an air pump with stone in my qt. Helps with the oxygen.

The uv sterilizer that Big G linked is also a good item to have on hand for qt purposes. I also soak a sponge in Bio-Spira and place that in a hob filter with only that inside.

The water changes should help as well.

I thought it was a well cycled tank. It’s been through several qt’s. I’ll give this a try and keep the O2 pumping.

Badge shows none. My Red Sea kit shows none as well.

I’ve done the first 3. Gearing up for another water change tomorrow. The water quality seems better today and they are breathing slower. Still active and feeding.
