QT tank, multiple frags at once, gameplan ?

Going to reef show soon and was thinking it's a good time to start my coral collection, and get 10gal qt tank ready.
What's the game plan for bringing multiple corals at the same time ?
Anything special to get QT tank ready ?
Placement for corals away from each other even though they're only frags ?

Don't let them touch each other. I know that isn't always the case and maybe your torch and hammer would be fine with touching but I wouldn't. Also, save yourself some time figuring out what's best for a qt setup and get a Fluval Evo 13.5. The leds are strong enough to get almost anything through a qt cycle and the all in one aspect is pretty sweet. If not, I believe aqueon has a decent hotb filter with uv sterilizer and skimmer. You'll still need a circulation pump with that route. Lastly, use a flashlight a couple hours after lights out to find hitchhikers. Good luck.

Not sure what you mean by this. Aside from it being more time consuming. I think it would be no different from just bring in one frag.

Set it up now and try to get it cycled as fast as you can. Have new salt and fresh water ready at all times. A ten could go south really fast in terms of stability.

Well yeah especially with euphyllias and there sweeper tentacles. I had a acan burn all the polyps of a stylo frag I had that fell on to it.

Here is how I did my QT tank. I know bare bottoms is best but the sand and rock were dry when I set out up months earlier.

After temp acclamation they all whent through water acclamation and dips seperated from each other.

I have IM Nuvo Fusion 10 tank, Kessil A80 led, media rack for sponge>chemipure blue>purigen.

How do you cycle bare bottom tank ? I always thought cycle is for rock/sand.

It cycles the same but you have less area for bacteria to colonize.

Might want to consider putting a piece of Marinepure block, etc. to give beneficial bacteria a place to grow that is new and sterile to begin with (no hitchhikers from say a piece of live rock). I use a 8x8x1 for my 10 gal qt. works great. Helps the tank to ammonia cycle quickly. Plus you can clean it out with bleach later and re use it easily. Cheers!
Oh, mine is a "bare bottom" tank. Easy to keep clean.

Well I have media basket for filtration, there's 3 chambers to fill, so I could use 1 for Marinepure balls, what would you recommend the other 2 to fill with ?

Perfect. Balls or squares would fit nicely. That's a cool basket. Nice. Bulk Reef Supply had the best prices with free shipping. And they are no fuss on problems, etc. Cheers!
I'd fit as much Marinepure in there as possible. You can soak and flush them with bleach. Dry them and use them in other tanks over and over again.
