Having read many posts regarding QT tanks etc I can see you have to do it for fish corals anemones and there is loads if advice in this respect but what about clean up crew the snail's crabs and shrimps? These are likely some of the first entrants to your DT so best ensure they are in good health but how can you spot a sick snail or a poorly crab? Also if the QT has no sand or rock etc what will these guys feed on whilst in the QT?

I just dropped my snails in. Likely not the best option... but I am a NEW reefer and I was thinking they just snails and well this meme just kinda sums it up.

On a side note if you do quarantine them the advice I got was get a 1/2 gallon betta tank, and a a seaweed block to feed them, then just make sure water gets a change a few times. But that was from LFS and may or may not be right.
