I bought a 12g jbj nano for a qt. Few weeks ago I cleaned it out and have since put it to use sadly. I didn't look at the return pump to see what the guy was running. Just took apart cleaned and back together. Well I Filled the tank with some water from dt, also ceramic media stones, sponge and floss from my dt. I plug in the return pump and its making white caps in the tank so I lowered the head alittle. Now the reason I bought this tank is in short I bought a flame angel. Angel had fluke I guess since my Maine mocha clowns now have flat black spots all over them. Then it had ick too. Now all have ick but my orange spotted goby. Been treating dt with kick ick no luck for 4 weeks. I treated the dt few weeks ago with prazipro seemed to help but the flame angel died. So today I placed my clown my goby and my royal gramma into my qt and the pump is way to strong my clowns are fighting current getting their workout in the royal tucked in the corner behind some pvc and the goby gets between to pvs pieces and if he goes out he stops bit the current pushes him back to a wall. The pump was a cobalt mj 1200. I just changed it for the night to a marineland mj 400. I use it for water changes. What return pump would be best for this qt tank? I will be using copper treatment. the 400 i feel won't circulate the water enough.
