QT Tank Salinity Recommendation

My LFS owner recommended 1.016 Salinity for my QT Tank.

He has never led me astray in the past. However I don't have an informed opinion for or against that lower value (compared to DT).

Do you agree / disagree with him? Why?

I would set the salinity of my QT to match the salinity that the fish was coming from.
Then as the fish is being quarantined slowly raise it to match my display tank.

Most of them do for their fish only tanks.
