Pretty new to the hobby, I’ve never had a quarantine tank. This morning when I came home from work, I checked and it looked like I had an ich outbreak. I’ve already asked for confirmation and the consensus is that it’s ich. I saw it on my clown tang, blue tang, and bluejaw trigger. I just went out and setup a 29g qt tank and was wondering if i should remove all fish or just the ones that look affected. My clowns for example have been acting normal and look perfectly fine, along with my foxface. Also, would a 29g be big enough for all the previously mentioned fish, along with 3 gobies, a filefish, and a dottyback? And would I need to drip acclimate all the fish before adding or take any extra steps in setting up the qt tank? Sorry for all of the questions, I’m just stressing about making sure all of my fish have the best chance of getting past this. Any help is appreciated.

If ich is indeed in the tank, then all fish must be removed and treated. The main tank will need to go through a fallow period.

I just set up the tank a few hours ago and added some of the filter media from the dt. Are the fish okay to be immediately added or are there any extra steps I should take?

I'm not a QT guy. Best to check the stickies here.
