QT tank

I just setup my QT tank today. Can I go ahead and drip my fish to take out my DT to put in my QT tank to treat them for ich? Or how should I go about putting them in the tank and also do I add the medication first to the QT or do I add the fish first?

You don't need to acclimate them unless the water is drastically different. I'd just take them from the display and place them in. I find it easier to add the medicine beforehand

Ok gotcha and I saw I am not supposed to feed them the first 5 day in Qt is that right or wrong
