QT Tanks

What does everyone keep in there Quarantine tanks? I.e. sand, rock, PVC, Nothing at all etc.

I'm setting one up soon but plan on keeping it basic with bare bottom and just a hob filter with just the sponge in it, a heater, lower powered light and some plumbing elbows as hiding spots for fish

I have one that is just a 10 gallon w/ hang on back. I have been keeping sand and rock in it for about a month and a half. I got a clown for free from a buddy and Ive been using him to kind of keep the tank alive. Would it be a worry to use this tank as a QT? I dont mind if the clown ends up accidentally getting sick if another fish is put in with him.
