I have a batch of fish in their 4th week of QT. 5 lyretail anthias and 2 small yellow tangs all look great, very active and are eating well. One of the yellow tangs has developed a cotton-y looking growth on its anal fin. It looks like Lympho to me but not 100% sure. Any suggestions? All I have done so far is 2 rounds of Prazi. TTM is next unless this is something that should be treated first.

Sorry, not sure how to add video to posts. Thanks!

I think you are probably right, lymphocystis.

The other possibility would be something bacterial (I recently had a clownfish grow a white, fuzzy bacterial goatee that looked sort of similar to this) but, in either case it doesn't look serious. Clean water, healthy vitamin-soaked foods, and low stress should take care of it. If it's lympho, it might get bigger/worse before it clears up.

Just keep an eye out for labored breathing, white patches or film on the body, tattered fins, red blotches, etc. These could indicate a more serious infection.
