How should i qt a dwarf lion fish? when i have to feed him live food im going to pick him up tomorrow

You could run him through TTM (Tank Transfer Method) then observe for a couple weeks to be sure there isn't anything else that needs addressing.

Okay sounds good but dont get me wrong one tiny drop on the fish gos to the other tank to the other tank aren't we just transferring the ich back and forth ?

The possibility of this occurring is why you do a total of 5 transfers (I consider Day 1 to be the 1st transfer.)

At the tail end of TTM there is no chance of free swimmers being present in the water or trophonts on the fish. The only risk is tomonts (eggs) which are still possibly affixed to the glass/equipment. But you won't encounter a tomont in a drop of water (on the fish) when transferring.
