How many have had success using copper with fairy/flasher wrasses? WHats the best way to do this on new wrasses? Also, I've read using copper on mandarins is a no no. If that is the case, should you not QT these fish?

Best option for copper sensitive species: https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/tank-transfer-method.192655/

It's really not as much work as it sounds once you get it down.

This is also an excellent replacement for copper if you can find a vet to write you a script: https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/chloroquine-phosphate.192309/

I've been using CP for the past 5-6 years now with amazing success. Even when the fish has visible symptoms of ich, velvet. :)
I know about CP, however, based on some your research, I was under the impression as far as wrasses go, CP was a no go?

It is also immensely difficult to get a dang script written for CP. I tried THREE vets, all three said that they "need to see my fish legally to write it".

Time to bring them in bags! (rolls eyes).

I wish this was more readily available. Humble I am counting on you to make it more available!!

I have used copper successfully for many leopard wrasses (although I did lose some, I did not lose MORE with copper than I did WITHOUT), and also some halichoeres. I kill 75% of NEW halichoeres wrasses in copper for some reason --- BUT established halichoeres I kept 100% of them alive. Very very odd. If you have an existing halichoeres wrasse, don't hesitate to use cupramine on it IME. I have put 2 Melanarus, 2 Vroliks, and a Lime Green wrasse through cupramine at 2-3x recommended dose without any issue at all. But I have killed 2 Christmas wrasse, 2 earmuff wrasse, 2 melanarus, a vroliks, and a red-lined wrasse that were NEW in copper. That's a horrendous track record. Very odd.

No luck with fairy or flasher nor have I tried

I've had problems getting Sixline & Melanurus thru it; and for some strange reason Hippo tangs. They just stop eating and die within a week.

However, I've QT'd multiple flasher/fairy wrasses using CP and no problems. o_O

Perfect news. Thank you. Oh and how long is the Cp treatment? 28 days?
