QTing Chromis - Formalin?

Is a prophylactic formalin dip regarded as best practice for chromis?

I've got (2) in my QT right now. I've had them for 4/5 days now.

I used safety stop 2-part dip on them before placing them into my QT tank.

Safety Stop part A is Formalin, part B is Methylene Blue.
instead of doing a 45 minute dip in the part A (formalin), I kept them in the formalin part for an hour before moving them to part B.

I'll be starting copper and prazi on them in another day or two.

So far so good, but I'm not getting my hopes up yet. still a long way to go.

Formalin is good because it kills external Uronemia which Chromis are more susceptible to. I don’t think anything kills intracellular Uronemia.

A best practice- not reall especially if you assure they are healthy at time of purchase. You can give a formalin or rally bath or dip as an insurance from uronema
