Any recommendations on quality Florida live rock. KP? Gulf live rock ? Premium deco quality. Ty appreciate any info or experience good bad or indifferent.

There's a couple threads discussing suppliers if you do a search. FWIW I've been very happy with GulfLiveRock.com. Be sure to getit shipped air fieght and bug Dan to get the airbill number as soon as he's shipped it.

It will vary, partially on how long it sits in a box. Most of my orders have had what I'd consider minimal dieoff during the quarintine. Occasionally I'll get a few rocks that have more dieoff than the others. What's really cool is just about every order has several different small stoney coral colonies.

I recommend Live Rock N Reef. I’ve ordered from them 4 times over the last 10 years. No die off. Here’s an example of what my last order looked like. Check out all the macro algae and other life on it

Tampa Bay Saltwater, very happy with it. I recommend doing a good sift through the sand and check the rocks well for critters. It is all very alive. I have some questionable worms in mine, but so far no alarm bells. Got a few free corals, cool sponges, little fans, great coraline. No die off that I could tell. Put it in with some Seachem Matrix previously seeded with bacteria and it was basically cycled.

Wow! That is a lot of Caulerpa verticillata! Does it ever cause problems (I hear it grows quite rapidly)? Otherwise, awesome looking tank!

Thanks! All of that macro algae is gone. A foxface and 3 Mexican turbos ate all traces of it.

I've not ordered their rock yet, but I've ordered other things from KP several times. It's a really fantastic family owned small business. You can tell lot about a company by how they handle things when there is an oops. Phillip (the P in KP) went WAY above and beyond to help and my goodness, I was more than satisfied. I don't remember the last time I had such good customer service in this hobby. Seriously. They are fantastic. I'm sure the other guys are great too, but KP has my loyalty.

@SaltyT any scrubbing or cleaning? Just a quick saltwater rinse and in the DT?
No rinsing, no scrubbing just straight in the tank. I try to keep as much life as I can on it. You’d be surprised how many brittle stars, cucumbers, corals, and other cool critters are on the rock.

I bought a 100lbs from Gulf live rock a few weeks ago. I did and would recommend picking up at airport. That way it doesn't ride around on non temp controlled delivery truck all day. I had little to no die off. No bad critters on mine. What i did have was macro algae, corals, a lot of clams, pods and small brittle stars. I was very happy with the purchase.
