Hey all!

So I am having some trouble setting up my skimmer. I bought all of this pre-owned. When I purchased it I tore the skimmer apart and cleaned it thoroughly. Now, as I am setting it up I have almost no control over the level in the skimmer. I'm 100% open and in about 8-8.5" of water as per the manual suggests. This is as low as I can get it, if I close it down anymore it overflows like crazy... Any help?

Evening

A lot of us with nyos have been thru this. Search nyos and there will be threads with same issues and good advice. I had issues for years. Finally got it right.

The book says 8 inches, but I found that too deep. The vid did not play, but the pic it looks to deep. The water is high in the neck. On the 160 I have the water right below the q. Then open up the big adjustment all the way. Slowly close it until the bubbles creep up. Then use the finer adjustment to get it dialed in. I leave my screw in the silencer wide open.

Where your bubble line is in the cup should be right around where the neck attaches. It takes a while. A big key is to leave it for a few hours after you think you got it. It may change and need a bit more tuning.
