My 75gal set up is about 8 months, I’ve gone through two rounds of ick/velvet. It pains me to see the fish suffer, i think I am about to hit a third round with new fish…

I have a diamond goby and fiji blue devil damsel survive from day one in the tank… I’ve lost many clowns and tangs… besides the two survivors, tank was empty of new fish for 2-3 months… just got a blue hippo and yellow tang last week, they came from an established tank that looked healthy, they didn’t have anything in skin day one in my tank. starting to see white dots and I want to take all 4 inhabitants and put into/treat before it gets worse.

I have coral in the tank and setting up permanent space for qt is not an option. Could I use a 55gal brute bin to treat with meds for the duration?

also, what meds should I buy and treat with? Weekends are my only chance to handle, hopefully can get the items needed quickly

Fish are all strong atm, but I know that can change quick on the two new fish, thanks

You need to remove all the fish from the tank, treat them - and leave the tank fallow (pick your protocol) - before you send good money after bad - and potentially kill more fish. Sorry this sounds harsh - but it's true - stop adding fish.

Can you provide pics under white lighting and describe behaviors such as erratic swimming, not eating, heavy breathing, etc
With velvet fish will be likely to act lethargic… swimming in front of power head or flow and gasping at surface
The treatment you use should treat Oodinum and what MnFish mentioned, tank will need to be fishless while others are in quarantine to assure they have no hosts to utilize for survival. The life cycle of velvet is as short as 8 days but many strains 30 days and recommended is 45 days

My last round of losing fish, blue hippo had the erratic behavior, clowns as well… they started with white crystal sort of dots, then larger ick looking like dots al over body, last hippo that dies also had a brown stringy hanging off the side like algea sort of film… looking at the two new fish I added last week, they are getting the same symptoms, small white dots… some days more dots then others and some dots are larger/smaller, im picking up a 40 gal. Will grab a heater and filter, more importantly, what meds should I order now? Was thinking prazipro and copperpower

I would dose with copper power first, and then follow up with prazipro later on. Flukes don’t kill nearly as quickly as ich or velvet do.
Setting up a tub to treat fish is REALLY difficult - tough to keep the ammonia level down, and to be honest, if I can’t get a good lateral view of fish that I’m treating, I have no way to know how things are going, so I would never do that.
