Hi all,
I got new fish (yellow tang, pair of clowns) 2 days ago and put them in my QT. I don’t usually medicate the fish until day 3 (Seachem cupramine) however I must go overseas for urgent business for 2-3 weeks. My question is do I dose copper to therapeutics and leave my tank with the copper levels I’ll be leaving in 4 days so that will give me 4 days to slowly ramp up the copper levels. Thanks.

I had a similar situation, but only traveled domestic, and chose to ramp up the copper in 2 days to give me time to observe before I left. While I have a family who is willing to help me, their ability doesn't go much beyond feeding and topping off. I would also suggest you mix up a few 5gal buckets of water change dosed to therapeutic level to have on standby, assuming you have someone who can do that for you. 2-3 weeks is a long time for a QT to go without a WC IMO.
