Quarantine CUC in a new tank?

I am setting up my first ever saltwater tank and was wondering if I need to qt CUC? I plan on adding them after my tank cycles.

They can bring in diseases, so QT is a wise choice.

However, most new systems cannot support a clean-up crew (there's nothing to clean up) so best to avoid anyways.

Recommended to QT them for 76 days. That's how long it takes for the tomonts to release and die since there are no fish hosts. I have a tank just for hermits and snails and when ready I put them in my tanks then I put more in the CUC tank.

What do you feed them while in qt?

I feed them what I feed my other tanks. Mysis, squid, etc. They eat anything. Snails just graze where they want to on algae.

No problem. It's actually quite easy since they don't need anything special light or filtration

If you have snails in a new QT, without much naturally growing algae, you'll want to add some nori for them to eat. It will also benefit most hermits.
