Hi all, I am new to this and was hoping to get an opinion on room lights during quarantine.

So, with the lock downs across the country my family and I are now home for the time being.

My tank is in my office and typically I run the lights 11 am to 10 pm. With being home I am now working in the office in the morning and have the "normal" room lights on.

Is that okay? Should I do my best to work in the dark or dim the lights?

The kids are home so it would be hard to work anywhere else in the house.

Thank you!

It will not hurt anything imo. Can’t just compare normal lights meters away from the tank to the highly advanced reef lights above our tanks. I would just do whatever is the best for you. Tank will not be affected.

I read this as if you were talking about your QT tank lol.

Having ambient lights on is fine for tank :)

I read it after I posted and thought I should have made that more clear!!! lol Maybe I should have put in a Covid quarantine or Tank Light social distancing! Thanks for the replies
