Ok so I have a dilemma. I have a whitetail bristle tooth in QT at my local guy's store (Yes it is in a true QT tank). I am ready to bring the fish home this coming Saturday to introduce into my tank. I currently have four small clowns and one purple tang in the display tank. The purple tang is about 3.25" and has been in there four weeks. I was really wanting to introduce the Whitetail BT and a Blue Hippo at the same time to reduce aggression form the purple tang. Problem is with all of this COVID crap I had a hard time finding a Blue Hippo locally. Diver's Den has a few but I know their QT isnt as intensive as some other online stores. I have seen good things about TSM aquatics and Red's Reef. TSM does a 30 day QT. Lastly, one of my trusted LFS has a Blue Hippo in the size I like in one of his big SPS tanks. The fish has been there for 5 months and look healthy. Or should I just introduce the whitetail now and put the blue hippo in later after his QT.
1. Buy straight from TSM aquatics and introduce the Blue Hippo at the same time as Whitetail BT.
2. Buy the blue hippo at my LFS that has been there for months and introduce at the same time as the Whitetail BT.
3. Or wait and add a Blue Hippo down the road after an extended QT period.
4. If anyone knows of online stores that have a better QT procedure than TSM.
