I currently have a yellow tang and Wyoming white clownfish in quarantine. I am using seachem paraguard and dosing 5 ml per day per instructions. They have both been eating in quarantine and doing well. Unfortunately this morning while checking on the tanks I noticed the clown stuck to the power head. I shut the power head off and he swam away but now he just keeps falling to the side, not swimming well and breathing heavily. I tested ammonia levels which were 0. It seems like he has a damaged swim bladder.

Unfortunately I’m not sure what else I can do for him. He clearly has some sort of parasite or infection but I don’t know if there’s any other medicine I can add that will save him in time. My other concern is now the yellow tang is in there as well exposed to whatever the clown has. I don’t know if I should empty the tank and start his quarantine period over again or try something else like hyposalinity.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

IME a fish that is stuck to the powerhead is on its way out.

Have you seen any spots on these fish?

Are you treating the QT with any meds at all?
