So I am setting up a quarantine tank which is a 30 gallon. Is it a good idea to add a glass divider silicon-ed into the 30 to have coral/inverts on one side and fish on the other? I have read you don't want you a fish quarantine closer than 10 feet from display tank, due to aerosol velvet. This tank will be on the other side of the house. The only draw back I can think of is the fish quarantine would not be an easy tear down and disinfect if I have corals quarantining at the time.
I am looking for your thoughts and suggestions.

You risk the change of medicated water from fish side splashing or leaking from the silicone into the coral side. I would not do it personally.

Yeah I wouldn’t do it that way considering all the possibilities that could exist if you have to treat. You could use it for just observation but having to add any medications would be a no go for me
