Im about to buy a new fish for my tank, either a blenny (bicolor or tailspot), damsel, or a watchman goby, either type.
Ive never acc had to quarantine my fish, I added my clowns to my tank before I added any other livestock. Ive been reading a book about aquariums but i feel like i need some extra help.
What type of filters do I need?Sponge filter is best? How big of a tank? Lighting not needed, right? Should I be adding medications and/or supplements, even if the fish is doing good? If so, what medications are best?
Btw i will probably be using one of those clear storae containers, about 13g i believe? Is that alright? Whats the minimum size for a fish like a blenny, watchman goby or damsel? Theyre all the same size basically.
#reefsquad thanks for your help, hopefully you can make things clearer for me.

Here's a good link on how to quarantine if treating for diseases:

As for what you need...I use a 10g tank for all smaller fish like what you are mentioning. No light needed. Hang on back filter, heater, some pvc fittings for hiding places, seachem ammonia alert badge. The only problem with the clear storage item you are mentioning is that you won't be able to clearly observe the fish for tiny signs of disease like you could with a glass setup. 10g tanks are super cheap.
