I have a 15 gal tank that I was going to use for quarantine. Can someone recommend an inexpensive filter I could use.

I have a 20 gallon long QT tank I use I just use a hob filter to keep filtration up, also use a sponge that was in direct tank to cycle.mine is a fluval hob purchased from petco very inexpensive

This is my first tank. I was going to use water from the main tank after it finishes cycling and a small heater. I’d that reasonable and do I need anything else?

You can add some pieces of PVC piping for your fish and inverts to hide out. You can add a piece of live rock from your display tank for bacteria, algae , pods.

It never hurts to add a bottle of bio spira to boost beneficial bacteria ;) Good luck.

I have an Aqua Clear that has lasted for 4 years on my 20 L qt. Oversize it if you can. I also double-up the filtration in that tank with a sponge filter. Even with the purchase of an air pump, you can buy both for around $60. I use a seachem Tidal for my large qt tank (50 gallons), which has been awesome.

Don’t forget to pick up a seachem ammonia badge as well.

I use a sponge filter, PVC pieces for hiding, heater and Seachem Seed. Haven't lost a fish in qt yet. I use a 10 gallon tank

@Lobot my setup is about as simple as it gets. I have a 20G Aqueon tank that I keep 15G of water. I’m using an Aquaclear 30 hang on back filter with a sponge to help with bacteria etc and have a carbon pack just in case I need to add it to the filter. Jager heater and two PVC tee pipes in different sizes one white one grey. I use the hood that came with the tank.

When I do water changes in my DT I’ll take a few gallons and use this for a QT water change
