Quarantine Tank questions

Hey everyone, I am just getting into the hobby and had questions about what all I need to put in it. No rock in case I have to dose livestock that are sick, but beyond a pump, heater, and something to move the water what else should go in there?

Thanks for this info. I found a pretty good deal on a 13.5 gallon all in one. If I added dividers for that, do you think that would work over having the HOB filters?

I put in a bunch of plastic plants also. A lot of fish seem to like them for cover as much as the pvc I use.

I don't see why not, but the hob filters have the advantage of creating extra aeration by disrupting the water surface. Also make sure you don't have a skimmer as that will remove any medication you add.
