Quarantine Tank setup?

Hey reefers, today I set up my QT system... in my closet lol. I'm planning to get my water in it within the next couple of days. I'm looking to see if my setup is good and it will be effective to quarantine and medicate my fish safely so when they enter my display tank they are happy and healthy. I'm asking for any advice/criticism to ensure my QT system is perfect for what I need. I have a fluval evo 13.5 so I don't plan on quarantining too many fish, but I still want to be safe

So here's my list of equipment:
-10 Gallon standard tank
-Heater set to 78 degrees f
-Digital Thermometer
-Sponge filter
-Tetra air pump (for up to 20 gallons)
-Stock fluval evo 13.5 lid and light
-I plan on adding some bio media inside of a homemade egg crate chamber that I will make
-I also plan on adding some clean PVC pipes and elbows for the fish to hide and swim around

so is my setup going to work? do I need to add/remove anything?

Looks like a pretty solid start! I would add a really small powerhead for some flow (can be from the budget bin), and either paint the outside bottom of the tank or put something under it so it doesn't stress the fish out being able to see the floor. Not sure if there's any merit to the "clear bottom glass stress" bit, but I've seen folks mention it before

Also, if you're going to treat the fish with copper I'd recommend grabbing an ATO to keep the water level and copper levels consistent. Plus a Hanna copper tester.

That should do it. For my larger QT setups I usually have a powerhead disturbing the water surface and then one low/mid for extra flow, but in a 10g and with having the air pump/sponge filter you'll get some good surface agitation.

thats about all my QT has, but if not already mentioned I’d brace up that back, a couple of vertical 2x3’s in each back corner of the tank would make things safe, so would some type of board under the tank. Edit add: or run a horizontal board to support that part of the shelf; span two studs.

Honestly though, I personally wouldn’t do anything saltwater on that wire stuff, it will rust within weeks.

but I re-quoted this post because whats said is really important especially if suspended with no solid surface underneath, some fish go bonkers.

Sweet I added cardboard below the bottom class, and will be adding 2x3s diagonally against the wall to sturdy it up, thanks much

Diagonally? I dunno, Whats holding up the wire shelving along the wall? Whatever support you give the back has gotta holdup 80lbs (test = 2 concrete blocks). I’d put a piece of wood horizontally along the back spanning 2 studs. You can use a more attractive 1x3” finished pine say 26” long.

Also the paint coating on that shelving is thin. I have that exact stuff above salt tanks and it rust fast. I’ve had to spray paint it again. They sell a clear roll of plastic specifically for that stuff and typically in the same aisle.
You might wanna elevate that pump or put a airline anti siphon on it. Best of luck!
