I use a air powered sponge filter in my quarantine tank and when I'm done with a treatment, I use to wash them and sterilize them in bleach, but it really messes up the consistency of the foam.
So lately I've been tossing them after the current fish move on to the display tank.
They aren't really that expensive, ( roughly $6 ) but it seems like a waste.
Does anyone know where to get just the foam for this type of sponge filter?

yeah they have those replacement foam sponges for aquariums on ebay

I just don't know anymore.
I looked on ebay and amazon before and just didn't see any sponge only. Saw the whole filters on amazon and ebay. ( where I've been getting them )
Then in the course of just a couple minutes, people come up with 2.

shakes head and walks away.
