Quarantine tank water

Do I need to use Ro/ Di water for a quarantine tank that I would set up from time to time adding new fish and corals?
Asking as it will be difficult to haul water up several floors to the only available space for a quarantine tank in my home. It would be easier to use tap water and dechlorinator and mix saltwater at the location of the quarantine tank.

This would be a 20 gallon long and as far as corals go, no sps. Only softies and maybe some easy lps.

Depends on what's in your tap water. If you don't know you could buy distilled.

I kept my 10g with tap water and did weekly water changes. It was fine and it was set up for a year. It isn't set up anymore because I upgraded.
